Alumnus: Co-Founder

Our company’s origins trace back to our college years, when we participated in a remote-controlled underwater robot competition. We took a product we developed for the competition to a trade show, and during that process, we recognized the growing market demand for underwater vehicles. To capitalize on this opportunity, we applied for TÜBİTAK 1512 BİGG funding and, after receiving the grant, founded our company at Yıldız Technopark in 2021.

In our first year, we developed our underwater robot into a market-ready product and subsequently began rental and sales operations. In 2022, with an investment from HKTM, we joined a group comprising 12 companies.

During this time, we carried out various operations using our underwater robot, PYROT. We were deployed in many different fields, including hydroelectric power plants, deep-sea research, algal bloom studies, fish farms, steel mills, natural gas power plants, ports, and ships. As a result, we were able to meet a wide range of cross-sectoral needs and play an active role in various operations.

Graduate: Founder

Our company was founded in 2023 within Istanbul TEKNOPARK. SEAVEL Design and Engineering, was founded to address the gap in this field caused by the lack of engineering activities in the production of composite yachts ranging from 5 to 15 meters in the maritime sector—specifically, the absence of form design development and advanced engineering calculations for yachts of these sizes. During the two-year period leading up to the company’s establishment, production facilities were examined and shortcomings were identified. In addition to conducting various design and engineering projects in-house, the company manufactures boats under its own brand. SEAVEL Design and Engineering carries out composite yacht design, engineering, and production activities. It is currently engaged in the production of a 5.50-meter pleasure boat. In addition, it carries out design and engineering work on RIBs (Rigid Inflatable Boats) of various sizes. Through collaboration with technology parks and universities, the company aims to bring a fresh perspective to the yacht industry by applying academic research to the sector and prioritizing its commercialization, leveraging its academic expertise in the maritime field.
