CONTEST ANNOUNCEMENT
Deck 0: Entrance Design Competition
We are reimagining our main entrance display, which will welcome every student, faculty member, and visitor stepping into the Faculty of Naval Architecture and Maritime Sciences building. Deck 0 is being transformed into a design that reflects our faculty’s vision, history, and passion for maritime affairs!
Contestants are expected to incorporate the following elements into their designs while adhering to the dimensions and physical constraints specified in the attached CAD technical drawing:
- Presenting the texts on our Faculty’s Vision, Mission, and History not merely as dry text, but as an integral part of the design.
- The creation of a modular/expandable space that pays tribute to our deans and accommodates future deans.
- A design language that blends shipbuilding and maritime concepts with a modern and prestigious aesthetic.
Technical Specifications
- Designs must be exactly compatible with the dimensions in the shared CAD file.
- Feasibility (materials, cost, and ease of installation) is a key criterion in the jury’s evaluation. It should be noted that the application will take the form of sticker wrapping, and the design must not deviate from this framework.
